What is it?

The Internet has become the most popular medium for entertainment and education among people of all ages. Sadly, there are few websites that truly focus on students and their education. This is why Nerld was created--to be a sanctuary on the busy Internet for the overwhelmed student. Here, you will find resources to guide you along the way, tips that will give you an edge over classmates, and tools to help you succeed in whatever you do. We urge you to join our forum, where you can meet students just like you. Talk about studies, life, college, homework... anything. The world is yours.

Nerld was built on one philosophy: it should be useful for both educators and students (and maybe parents too!) and FREE. All tools you find on Nerld are free and will remain so. After all, all students are poor, right? :)

College Applicant Pro (beta):

The Nerld College Applicant Pro is an application designed to help seniors with their college applications. It can track almost every aspect of any application and send timely reminders about upcoming due dates. It was designed and tested by the Nerld College Applicant Pro team. Nerld NSD

The Nerld NSD, or Niche Subject Dictionary, is designed to help you look up terms and definitions in the shortest amount of time possible. Gone are the days of finding "A" in a glossary then looking for "Anarchism" in a list of 284 terms. Simply search and go! The Nerld NSD is powered by Glossword. Visit Nerld NSD.

Forum:

The Nerld Forum is a community formed by students to help each other through their education. With the Nerld Forum, you can post about any topic and receive replies from the community. Ask about... well, anything, and get the opinion of the world! It is powered by SMF. Visit Nerld Forum.

Nerld History

Nerld started out as Student Forums, back in 2009. The website contained nothing more than a community forum where students could come together and talk. Unfortunately, due to a lack of time and energy, the project eventually faded as 2009 drew to a close. Then, in 2010, Student Forums was rebranded as Nerld, a spin-off the words "Nerd" and "World," and was rebuilt from the ground up, this time with the idea of bringing study materials to busy students. In 2011, Nerld was rebuilt once again and the Nerld Team decided that time was ripe to direct Nerld in a new direction: providing online tools to make students' lives easier. As of July 2011, the first Nerld Application was released for beta testing: College Applicant Pro. In the years to come, Nerld will continue to improve and release more applications!
